In precision casting, the selection of wax raw materials is crucial to the quality of castings and needs to be considered from many aspects.
Considering the thermal properties, physical properties, chemical properties and process properties, the traditional precision casting industry uses relatively more paraffin wax, composite wax, high temperature wax and low temperature wax.
There are currently two production lines in our factory, one for low temperature wax and one for medium temperature wax.
In the application of precision casting products in the aerospace field, the thermal stability and strength of medium temperature wax are better than those of paraffin wax.
For example, in the casting of aircraft engine blades, the blades have complex shapes and extremely high requirements for dimensional accuracy and surface quality. Wax molds made of medium temperature wax can maintain stable shape in high temperature environments, such as during the drying process after coating the ceramic shell, and will not produce obvious deformation due to temperature changes. Moreover, during the handling and assembly process, its strength can ensure that the blade wax mold will not break easily. Because the quality of engine blades is directly related to the performance and safety of aircraft, medium temperature wax can effectively guarantee the quality of wax molds with its excellent performance, thereby ensuring that castings meet strict quality standards.
