Application of inlet and outlet flange water section

In piping systems or container equipment, a section of pipe with flanges relating to the import and export of water. It is usually connected to the water inlet and outlet of the equipment (such as water pump, heat exchanger, water tank, etc.), and the connection with other pipes or equipment is realized through the flange to ensure that the water can smoothly enter and exit the equipment.

It is important to select the material according to the nature of the fluid being transported (such as whether it is corrosive, temperature, pressure, etc.).

If it is ordinary domestic water or normal temperature industrial water, carbon steel may be used;

If it is to transport corrosive water (such as seawater, water containing chemicals, etc.), stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant materials may be used.

The wall thickness of the pipeline should be considered to be able to withstand the pressure of water, and to meet the requirements of a certain safety factor.

For fluid delivery systems, a good seal is essential, and preventing fluid leakage is a top priority.

When we manufacture the water section of the import and export flange, we must ensure the welding quality of the flange and the pipeline. For water sections with pressure requirements, non-destructive testing, such as radiographic inspection (RT) or ultrasonic inspection (UT), is required after welding to ensure that there are no defects in the welding. At the same time, ensure that the processing accuracy of the flange meets customer requirements, such as the flatness of the flange, the position accuracy of the bolt hole, etc.
